Is your backyard big enough to accommodate your family playing a sport together? Pick a day of the week in which you call over other kids in the neighborhood so that all of you can take part in some sporty game.

This can include flag football, baseball, soccer, or basketball. You can even invite your next-door neighbors with their children and create an adult vs. children game. Not only will this strengthen your bond with your children, but it will also encourage the kids to make new friends.
